Randy F. Jahraus, 53, died July 26, 2010 at his residence in Mandan, ND. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, ND with Rev. Patrick Schumacher officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at the Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with a Parish Rosary/Vigil at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour before service at the church on Friday. Randy was born on May 28, 1957 in Richmond, CA to Fred and Dianna (Kuntz) Jahraus. He attended and graduated from Mandan High School, then continued his education at Wyoming Aviation Tech. After receiving his degree, he pursued a 15 year career with United Airlines. Randy kept busy and active with woodworking, building & restoring homes, restoring old cars, upholstery and hunting. With such artistic talent, he could visualize how the reconstruction would happen, and turn anything into a masterpiece. His personality was mellow, laid back. Generous in spirit, he was willing to help anyone at a moment’s notice. He enjoyed driving truck, especially being able to see the country from coast to coast. In his travels he was a power shopper, always looking for that special bargain. Above all this, he loved spending time with his two children and his family the most. Taken from us so sudden, he will be forever missed by his father, Fred Jahraus; daughter, Sarah Jahraus; son, Matthew Jahraus, all of Mandan; sisters, LaDora (Tim) Vollan, Fairfield, CA, Jackie (Terry) Harm, Mandan; and brothers, Darvin Jahraus, Dickinson, Greg (Sherri) Jahraus, Mandan, and Freddi (Greta) Jahraus, Olathe, KS. Randy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dianna, and older infant sister, Renee.
